Naveen Patnaik lauds two district collectors-Samarth Verma, Kulange Vijay Amruta

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday praised two district collectors for reaching out to the people and setting out an example for other officers.

The chief minister praised the collector of Kendrapara, Samarth Verma and collector of Ganjam, Kulange Vijay Amruta through twitter posts after their activities were published in a section of media.

Verma during his visit to a state-run high school in Patkura, taught children besides monitoring the implementation of government schemes while Amruta planted paddy saplings in agricultural field along with farmers.

“It is duty and responsibility of administrative officers to monitor and supervise implementation of programmes and schemes. Kendrapara Collector Samarth Verma has created an example by teaching students at a high school in Patkura under Kendrapara district. I thank him,” Patnaik tweeted.

The chief minister also praised Amruta in a separate twitter post. “It is a sign of dedicated service to the people when Ganjam collector Kulange Vijay Amruta planted paddy sapling along with farmers at Bharasa village under Khalikote block. He also taught the farmers on utility of planting saplings in a row. I thank the district collector,” he said.
